It depends on the condition that is presented to us. Many conditions can be treated effectively without surgery. Some conditions especially the more serious conditions of the neck and back may require surgery . When a person first comes in to our office we evaluate them, perform a physical examination and take a medical history. We then review the various diagnostic studies and make the diagnosis. At this point we discuss the various treatment options, surgery being one of those options.
